About Us Taurian Piercing and Metals – a shop exclusively dedicated to the art of body piercing – established to offer the highest quality and professional piercing in Houston. We not only meet, but exceed state regulations for the piercing industry, and our staff also attends continuing education seminars to refine skills and keep up with the latest in technique and aftercare. Taurian has been a proud member of the Association of Professional Piercers since 1996. Byriah Dailey – Owner / Senior Piercer Byriah has been piercing in Houston since 1992. He started making body jewelry about a year later. Many people remember him piercing out of his house before piercing became really popular over ten years ago. Byriah founded Taurian in 1994 and divides his time between piercing and making jewelry for the shop. In his spare time, he works as Head Engineer for the piercing / suspension performance group CORE – where he designs and builds equipment for shows. Ed Chavarria – Piercer Ed started his journey to be a piercer at Taurian in Jan. 2001 and is continuing his formal apprenticeship to date. He hopes to be able continue and learn and refine his skills and technique as his career progresses. In his spare time, Ed is Assistant Director for the performance art group CORE and enjoys suspension both in performance and ritual level. Jeff Lewis – Jewelry Manufacturer Jeff is a part-time jewelry manufacturer. He has been with Taurian since 1998 and specializes in making abstract and bio-mechanical handcrafted body jewelry. Jeff’s outstanding talents are more seen in custom septum and labret pieces and also on specialty ear talons.
